Competitive Spectrum
All shippers fall along a "spectrum" of logistics sophistication, defined as the ability to leverage logistics for competitive advantage and the achievement of commercial goals. Surprisingly, size of organization does not always correlate to one's position along this spectrum.
Taking logistics into account as part of corporate strategy, whether in site selection, new product development, market penetration, mergers and acquisitions, or financial planning, can be a deciding factor in the success or failure of those strategies. We have found that the more successful and sophisticated companies are the ones who view logistics as a strategic asset, rather than strictly a tactical function or cost center.
PLG has helped dozens of firms elevate their position on the logistics spectrum and ensure that corporate goals and strategies are fully supported and achieved through efficient, "best-in-class" logistics.
